At COP29's Urbanization Day, the importance of innovative financing mechanisms to transform cities into sustainable and low-carbon development hubs was discussed during the roundtable.

 

It was emphasized that investments in green infrastructure, energy efficiency in buildings, and nature-based solutions not only reduce emissions but also improve quality of life.

 

During the meeting, Committee Chairman Anar Guliyev shared Azerbaijan's experience. He highlighted that private investments are being attracted for the restoration of liberated territories within the framework of the Great Return program through a public-private partnership model, contributing to the creation of climate-resilient cities.
