The next meeting of the Chairman of the Committee, Anar Guliyev, in Nairobi was held with H.E. Mr. Jianguo Dong, Vice Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China
Opportunities for cooperation in the fields of sustainable urban planning, smart city systems, and environmentally friendly cities were discussed.
During the meeting, the contribution of the recent official visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to China to strengthening bilateral relations, opening up new opportunities for close cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of sustainable urban development was also emphasized.
At the same time, the Chairman of the Committee invited his Chinese colleagues to actively participate in the 3rd Azerbaijan National Urban Forum (NUFA3) to be held in October this year and the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) to be held in 2026.
