A special event on Multilevel Governance for SDG Localization was held at the second session of the UN-Habitat Assembly taking place in Nairobi
The event was attended by Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, National Coordinator for the WUF13.
The main objective of the event, initiated by the Republic of Italy, is to highlight the importance of multilevel governance, capacity building and innovative partnerships to ensure sustainable development and implement agile transformations at the national level in order to implement the resolution on the localization of the SDGs. The event also serves to strengthen cooperation among Member States for the implementation of the new UN-Habitat Strategic Plan covering the years 2026–2029.
Also, the “Partnership Platform for the Localization of the SDGs”, launched in 2024, was presented during the event.
