Anar Guliyev had the opportunity to participate in the “Briefing on Urban Climate and Environment – New Milestones and Opportunities for 2025 and beyond”, held as part of the Second Session of the UN-Habitat Assembly in Nairobi on May 29.
The event provided a platform to reflect on the outcomes of COP29 and discuss the road ahead toward COP30. It was emphasized that hosting COP29 Baku marked a significant step in strengthening the role of cities in the global climate agenda.
The work of the Baku Continuity Coalition clearly demonstrated the power of local initiatives in addressing global challenges - from climate change to housing shortages and social inequality.
The upcoming WUF13, to be hosted in Baku 2026, will serve as a key platform for global dialogue on climate, urbanization, and sustainable development.
