The book "Construction in Azerbaijan: Realities and Directions of Development" was published by the Azerbaijan Research Institute of Construction and Architecture, operating under the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.  The book tells about the construction works carried out during the period of the country's rise and socio-economic development in the years of independence, as well as the facts reflect merits of the great leader Heydar Aliyev in the development of the construction complex in 1969-1982, 1993-2003 years.

Role of the construction sector in the country's economic development was examined and described from different positions in this book. Extensive information was provided on the issues of intersectoral relations of construction, investments in fixed assets, construction of social facilities and production of building materials. At the same time, the state of implementation of state programs for each economic region over the past period is indicated with reference to statistical data.
