On March 28, 2023, Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Anar Guliyev met with Nuno Queiros, the newly appointed acting Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Azerbaijan.

The Chairman of the committee congratulated the guest on his new appointment, welcomed him to our country and raised the issue of the possibility of cooperation with UNDP in various fields. The Head of the UNDP Representative Office expressed gratitude to the Chairman of the Committee and, in turn, informed about the prospects for expanding cooperation between the two organizations.

It should be noted that the main goal of the project is to create an electronic control system in the field of urban planning, take appropriate measures to promptly identify cases of unauthorized construction and demolition, and therefore further strengthen state control over urban planning and construction activities.
