Committee Chairman Anar Guliyev speaks at Baku Climate Action Week
Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, Anar Guliyev, emphasized:
“Although cities account for approximately 70% of global carbon emissions and energy consumption, it is precisely these cities that hold the greatest opportunities for the future. Through smart urban planning, innovative technologies, and forward-looking master plans, we can create not only climate-resilient but also healthy, green, and human-centered cities.”
At the conclusion of his speech, Anar Guliyev invited his colleagues attending the event to participate in the III National Urban Forum (NUFA3), to be held from 15 to 17 October 2025. He noted that the Forum’s main themes - climate resilience, healthy cities, and inclusivity - will once again demonstrate our commitment and confidence in a just and sustainable urban future.
