The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, met with residents and representatives of the district community on the occasion of the Fuzuli City Day. According to the head of state, within the framework of the Great Return Program, urban planning policy, restoration and construction work is being carried out on the liberated lands. He also spoke about the large-scale works carried out in connection with the reconstruction of the city of Fuzuli, the settlement of the population here and the improvement of living standards, and also stressed that a self-employment program will be implemented.

“The projects being implemented today both in Fuzuli and in all our other cities and villages establish new rules of urban planning principles all over the world”.

The President also noted that the international community participating in the National Urban Forum, urban planning experts and architects from 53 countries of the world for the preparation and construction of projects, also highly appreciated the urban planning policy implemented in our country. Holding of National Urban Planning forums in the liberated regions of Azerbaijan, especially Karabakh and East Zangazur, highlights outstanding achievements in the field of reconstruction and development, and also takes into account the unique experience and rapid development of Azerbaijan on a global scale.

“In particular, as you know, the National Urban Forum was held twice in Azerbaijan - in Agdam and Zangilan, and all our projects were presented there. International organizations highly appreciate this, because the best living conditions have really been created here, and the internal structure of buildings, and the internal layout of apartments, and the principle of number of floors, and the distance between buildings – everything was provided. That is, all the necessary infrastructure and all conditions for a comfortable stay have been created here”.
