In accordance with instruction of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, on June 9,  the city of Lachyn hosted the next meeting of the Coordination Staff of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, created with the aim of centralized resolution of issues in the territories liberated from occupation.

Opening the meeting with an introductory speech, Samir Nuriyev noted that thanks to the wise policy and resolute will of national leader Heydar Aliyev, who returned to power at the urgent demand of the people in 1993, our state was saved from the threat of destruction, our independence was strengthened and the country embarked on the path of sustainable development. Samir Nuriyev stressed that the Great Leader mobilized all the forces and potential of our people for a single goal – the liberation of our lands from occupation and the return of internally displaced persons to their homeland. As a result of the thoughtful and principled policy of the worthy successor of the National Leader, President Ilham Aliyev, the accelerated and comprehensive development of Azerbaijan was ensured, the 30-year occupation policy of Armenia was put to an end and our territorial integrity was restored. Today, large-scale restoration and restoration work is underway in the territories liberated from occupation, internally displaced persons have already begun to return to their homeland.

The Head of the Coordination Staff noted that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan visited the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic districts during May 2023, laid the foundation for many settlements, took part in the ceremony of laying the foundation and opening infrastructure and other facilities, familiarized himself with reconstruction and construction works on the ground and gave relevant instructions. It was noted that the implementation of complex and large-scale projects is carried out at a rapid pace in accordance with a systematic, consistent roadmap and strategic line established by the Head of State in connection with the revival of the liberated territories. In connection with the expansion of the scope of work within the framework of ongoing projects, it is necessary to pay increased attention to the issues of systematic and coordinated work on the ground, including ensuring the activities of all relevant institutions in close cooperation, as well as the coordination of time and quality factors.

Then, an exchange of views took place on the work done to fulfill the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan during his trips to the territories liberated from occupation. Reports were also heard and discussions were held on the work ongoing and planned for implementation during 2023 within the framework of the "1st State Program for the Great Return to the Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation".

The authorized representatives of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan informed about the coordination on the ground of issues included in the agenda of the meeting, about the dynamics of work on the relevant territories and upcoming tasks.

The meeting discussed the issues of fully implementing the tasks set by the President of Azerbaijan to the Staff and solving them in accordance with the planned strategic line.

Then the Staff members got acquainted with the work done in the Agro-Industrial Park in the city of Lachyn, the concept of reconstruction of Heydar Aliyev Street, inspected the residential area on December 1 Street. They were provided with information about the work carried out on the “Lachyn Boulevard”, laid on the bank of the Hakari River.

Members of the Staff visited the village of Zabukh, Lachyn district, where they got acquainted with the large-scale work to create the necessary infrastructure and provide comfortable living conditions for the population who will return to the village.

At the end of the visit, Samir Nuriyev gave the heads of the relevant bodies the necessary instructions for the timely and high-quality implementation of the tasks set.
