At COP29's Urbanization Day, government and private sector representatives gathered at a roundtable to discuss sustainable development goals, focusing on “green” construction, energy efficiency in buildings, and addressing the climate crisis in cities.

Committee Chairman Anar Guliyev, alongside his colleagues, spoke about the role of the construction industry in accelerating economic growth, emphasizing the importance of minimizing its environmental impact.

Highlighting Azerbaijan's consistent efforts in implementing modern approaches, Anar Guliyev addressed the application of “green” building standards, the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies to enhance project management efficiency, and the simplification of the construction permitting process through the Committee’s developed “e-construction” system. He also underscored the importance of mutual cooperation for a sustainable future.
