The State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture and the Baku City Executive Power held a joint tree-planting campaign on the 98th birthday anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of the modern Azerbaijani state, who rendered great services to the independence and development of our people and state. The action was organized in the Narimanov district of the capital, in a separate area along Mammad Araz and Ashig Molla Juma streets. Eldar pine, cypress and other trees were planted in the said area by the heads and employees of both organizations. It should be noted that the area was cleared of useless waste before the tree planting campaign.

During the activity of the great leader Heydar Aliyev in Azerbaijan, which has rich natural resources and unique nature, the issues of improving the ecological situation, protection of the environment, as well as the efficient use of natural resources have always been in the spotlight. It is no coincidence that during the presidency of our national leader in Azerbaijan, important decisions, laws were adopted in the field of ecology and environmental protection, and improving the environmental situation was identified as one of the priority goals. A worthy successor of this policy, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev also pays special attention to improving the ecological situation in our country and systematically implements various projects in the field of greening of our country, environmental protection, and biodiversity.
