The Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture received the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan
The Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture Anar Guliyev received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov. Referring to the latest situation in the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the chairman of the committee emphasized the aggressive policy of Armenia towards our country, its constant provocations and also noted that terrorist and war crimes were committed by the aggressor country, launching missiles at citizens and civilian objects. Anar Guliyev informed the guest about the next large-scale provocation of the occupying Armenian army against Azerbaijan since September 27 this year and about the counter-offensive and anti-terrorist operation conducted by our country on its territory to ensure the safety of our citizens and liberate the occupied territories of our country in accordance with the requirements of international law.
In addition, the ambassador was informed about the preparations carried out by the Committee under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to develop general plans and other territorial planning documents for the restoration and further development of settlements liberated from occupation.
Confirming the unchanging position of Uzbekistan on the conflict - Nagorno-Karabakh and all the occupied territories are an integral part of Azerbaijan, Ambassador Ashrafkhanov noted that his country attaches particular importance to relations with Azerbaijan, and expressed confidence that these relations will continue to develop along an ascending line.
The meeting also discussed the possibilities of developing cooperation between the relevant central executive authorities and other specialized organizations of the two countries in the field of urban planning, construction and improvement of urban infrastructure, the use of modern technologies in design, state control over urban planning, etc., and other possible joint projects in various fields, a wide exchange of views on bilateral relations took place as well.
