On September 26, Samir Nuriev, chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture hosted Elena Gordeeva, chief banker for the Eurasian Regional Infrastructure Division of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Katarina Hansen, director of the Caucasus Regional Office, and Sanjar Usmanov, the main banker of the Baku office.

At the meeting, an exchange of views was carried out on planning the activities of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture, including the development of the Master Plan of the city of Baku and the main priority directions for the future development of the capital. As part of the discussions on the areas of long-term cooperation between the structures, information was provided on the “Green City” project of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, it was noted that protecting the environment and health, ensuring energy efficiency and sustainability in planning urban planning were the main goals of the Committee, and the essence of developing strategic projects in this area.
