On May 14, 2024, the Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Anar Guliyev, received a delegation from the Republic of Belarus, led by the Minister of Architecture and Construction Ruslan Parkhamovich.


Welcoming the guests, the Chairman of the Committee emphasized the satisfaction with the close cooperation and exchange of experience between the institutions in the field of urban planning, architecture, and construction, which have been established over the past years thanks to the "Memorandum of Intentions for the Activation of Cooperation between the Ministry of Architecture and Construction of the Republic of Belarus and the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan".


Anar Guliyev also extensively briefed the guests on the results of reforms carried out by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, in the field of urban planning, particularly the large-scale construction works conducted in the territories liberated from occupation within the framework of the "I State Program on the Great Return to the liberated territories of Azerbaijan”.


Expressing gratitude for the provided information, Ruslan Parkhamovich, in turn, shared information about the reforms and innovations implemented in the construction sector in Belarus in recent years, and discussed opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus in various fields.


During the meeting, the parties also actively discussed opportunities for expanding cooperation and relations in the field of urban planning, public administration, settlement design, and construction of facilities in both countries.
