The Сhairman of the Сommittee met with the authors of the selected projects.

Projects were presented in the meeting with the winners of the first stage of the competition “Architectural look of Absheron settlements” held at The State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture.  The jury selected a total of 12 best projects among 53 participants for the current stage of the competition program – organized on Amirjan, Ramana and Pirshagi. 
Within the framework of the competition, the jury gave preference to the participants of the competition who thoroughly studied the infrastructural problems of settlements, and also proposed a more balanced approach to the development of tourism, preservation of the historical and architectural heritage, ensuring the interests of the local population and creating a modern environment.
Addressing to the participants, the Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture emphasized that President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev identified the systematic implementation of reconstruction and urban planning processes in the country as a priority and emphasized the great role of planners in this work: "Young designers should not be left out of the ongoing urban planning processes in our country, they should take an active part. It is gratifying that today most of the participants in the first stage of the architectural competition, which covers some settlements of Absheron, are young people. The Committee is always ready to support all young people specializing in architecture and urban planning, and encourages them to actively cooperate."

Presenting diplomas to the winners at the end of the event, the Chairman of the committee Anar Guliyev said that the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture plans to implement competition programs in Absheron in order to preserve the spirit of national art, historical, architectural traditions and pass them on to future generations.

It should be noted that the current stage of the competition "Architectural appearance of Absheron settlements" was organized by a committee on the initiative of the Union of Architects of Azerbaijan and "Bakı Abadlıq Xidməti" LLC, with a total prize fund of 60,000 manats.
