On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the National Leader, a tree planting campaign was held in Baku

On April 29, 2023, the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Baku City Executive Authority held the first tree planting campaign along Mammad Araz and Ashig Molla Juma streets in the Narimanov district of our capital as part of a series of landscaping events dedicated to the "Year of Heydar Aliyev". 

 

The event was attended by Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture Anar Guliyev, Head of Baku City Executive Authority Eldar Azizov, as well as employees of structural units. 

 

 

Territory of the campaign was cleared of unusable waste, various types of trees were planted here that correspond to the soil and climatic conditions of the Absheron Peninsula, irrigation issues were resolved and responsible persons were appointed to take care of them. During the summer season, it is planned to continue the work on greening the city of Baku, caring for green spaces and landscaping.

 

Considering that the creation of green spaces is of great importance for preserving the ecological balance, one of the main priorities of urban planning policy, a large number of different green areas and parks have been created in the republic during the reign of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. Every citizen of our country knows what special attention and care our National Leader paid to this issue. Today, this policy is continued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, constantly implementing numerous events and projects in the field of greening our cities, environmental protection.
