Samir Rafig oglu Nuriyev 

Date and place of birth: 09.03.1975. Baku 

Education: Admitted to Azerbaijan Technical University in 1991 and graduated from the Faculty of Engineering Business and Management with an honorary diploma of engineer-economist in 1996. He continued his education in 2003-2005 at Duke University in the United States to earn a Master's degree in International Development Policy.

Employment:

He worked for various private and international organizations as an economist, marketing manager, and project coordinator from 1996 to 2003 and acted as a business advisor at Azerbaijan Country Office of UN Development Programme in 2000-2001.

In 2006, Mr. Nuriyev was appointed Director of the Entrepreneurship Department of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Following respective orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, he was appointed Deputy Head in 2009 and later in 2013 promoted to the position of the Head of "Icherisheher" State Historical-Architectural Reserve under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Following the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 12 April 2016, he was appointed Director of the State Housing Development Agency under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and later by the Presidential Order of 14 February 2018 was appointed to the position of Chairman of the Board of the State Housing Development Agency.

Following the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 21 April 2018, Samir Rafig oglu Nuriyev was appointed Chairman of the State Urban Planning and Architecture Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

An honorary member of the Union of Architects of Azerbaijan since 2015.
